GIORGIO GIROLIMINI
 
JUAN FUMERO

  Giorgio Girolimini was born in 1966 in Trani (Apulia, Italy) and since as a child loves playing with dough mixing flour and water.

  Graduated in Computing, after a short period of time working among the arid numbers of a bank gives in to his passion, the creative art of cuisine. 

  He attends the prestigious High School for Culinary Arts Boscolo Etoile in Sottomarina di Chioggia and makes his début moving on the Riviera romagnola, exactly to Riccione during the Summer Season, in the kitchen of the hotels La Cappuccina and Perla, to then improve his technical skill in the Restaurant Bibo at Riccione and in the Rifugio Albasini at Folgarida.

  Giorgio's deep knowledge of the traditional Italian gastronomy together with his full control of the key techniques  of classical cuisine enable him to create new recipes always respectful of the original flavours  and paying attention to the modern taste evolution. 

 

 

  Juan Fumero was born in 1961 in Caracas (Venezuela).  Ever since a very young age he feels an irresistible attraction towards drawing and colours. At the age of ten he starts private painting lessons and then attends the School of Fine Arts of Caracas where improves his techniques with contemporary art painting teachers.

  Globetrotter, he continues his studies after high school going to a Language School in Lousanne (Switzerland) then assists Senecal College of English Language in Toronto (Canada) to finally attend St. Edward's University in Austin (Texas). There he graduates in Photo Communication.

  Artist with a rare sensibility, for a few years lives and works in New York City in a sport stock agency and shows his photographic and painting works in many galleries around the city.

  He speaks Spanish, English, German and Italian.

 

    Giorgio & Juan arrive in the Canary Islands in Tenerife and in Puerto de la Cruz, in June 1999, open their restaurant "La Rosa di Bari". Success is immediate, their passion urges them to research and improve constantly and to spread the culture of the best Italian gastronomy.

    Giorgio, creative in the kitchen, is already a "Master of cuisine", he was nominated Knight of the Cofradía Gastronómica de la Fundación Luso-Galaica and is Chef member of Euro-Toques.

 

    Juan currently alternates his passion for painting - nowadays he paints works of large size - and the restaurant management. He is always careful of the table atmosphere; his constant warm welcome  makes him the perfect Maitre D' ensuring an exclusive style of courtesy and hospitality.
